IMDb listingI've been somewhat ambivalent this year about giving Oscar predictions because I really did see a lot of movies this past year and thought a lot of films and performances were very good and deserved praise. So I even created a "Denny Awards" to underscore the films and performances (male and female) that I thought deserved recognition.
On the other hand, the annual Oscars is one of the largest shared experiences in the United States. So I'm quickly typing a list of Oscar picks now and will be better about this next year.

Hey I did pretty well ;-) - Out of the 10 categories that I offered predictions, my predictions came-out in the following way:
ReplyDeleteUnder the heading of WILL WIN, I was right 7/10 times. (In one case I gave 2 possible winners, but one of the possible winners did win)
Under the heading SHOULD WIN, I was right 9/10 times. (In two cases I gave two possible winners, but in both cases one of the possible winners did win).
So I was actually better at judging the films than judging the Academy's view of them ;-)
